the Coordination Process!

Here is the transcript from October 2008 of the WSAU interview with Attorney Fred Grant, Margaret Byfield, and Jay Verhulst that defines the solution!

The Coordination Process ~ A Return to Americanism

"Coordination is a process that is created by law.  The agencies are mandated by law to coordinate with local government.  And 'coordinate' means come to the table on an equal basis (not as subordinates), and negotiate with local government in an attempt to make whatever the state or federal policy is consistent with local policy.  It’s a process that allows local government to exercise the authority that’s been recognized in it for decades in this country but that local government officials don’t always recognize themselves.  ...And it makes them feel good, it empowers them really, to realize that they have this authority."
